Even the X-Ray machine shows this, if you want to take a regular film X-Ray, it puts out twice tha radiation. For our patient’s safety we use only digital X-Rays.

No Heat, LED Operatory Light

  1. At My Fairfax Dental we spared no expense for our patient’s safety and comfort, that is why we use the latest LED light for treatment illumination.
  2. Our LED light are pleasantly cool, and generate far less heat than coventional lights. The lights are also sharply bright and due to the coolness, can be placed even closer.

LED Curing Light

  1. No Heat: Utilizing the latest LED technology, our curing lights at My Fairfax Dental generate virtually no heat, thus less discomfort for the patient.
  2. No cure feature: Our lights are computer controlled and the light spectrum can be instantly adjusted to not cure bondings until required. This allows the doctor to work unhindered.

VelScope Oral Cancer Screening

At My Fairfax Dental our dentist performs an oral cancer exam during a regular dental checkup using the FDA-approved VELscope®, an examination tool to help detect oral cancer in its earliest stages. The VELscope® is a blue excitation lamp, which highlights precancerous and cancerous cell changes. The healthy soft tissue of the mouth naturally absorbs the VELscope® blue light. The Healthy areas beneath the surface of the soft tissue show up green, and the problem areas become much darker.
