Full or Partial Dentures?
A denture is a removable dental appliance that can be used to replace missing teeth. Dentures are made to look like your natural teeth and enhance your smile.

Our restorative dentist in Fairfax, VA can restore your smile using any of these two types of dentures. Dr. Le will help you choose the type of denture that’s best for you based on whether you will replace some or all of your teeth.

  1. Full dentures
Full or complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing and are designed to sit on the gum.
  2. Partial Denture:
Partial dentures are a removable and less permanent method to replace missing teeth. A Partial denture not only fills in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from shifting. We would use partial dentures are when some natural teeth remain.

Fairfax Restorative Dentist, Dr. Le will typically recommend dentures based on the loss of teeth and how to best improve your smile.

Reasons we would use Dentures

  1. Partial Denture – missing some teeth in an arch
  2. Complete Denture – Loss of all teeth in an arch
  3. Enhance your smile / smile makeover
  4. Enhance your speech
  5. Enhance your ability to chew

Partial Denture

Partial Dentures at Dr. Le Fairfax VA -
What are our Dentures made of?
Partial dentures are made from a highly accurate impression of your gum taken by our dentist, which is then sent to a special lab to make using either metal fused with resin or all resin.

Dentures are highly durable and will last many years, but like most dental restorations, they may eventually need to be repaired or replaced.  The teeth on the Dentures are made to match the shape, size, and color or your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile.

Partial Dentures require daily removal with proper cleaning and observing of good oral hygiene habits with regular dental visits.
